Sometimes repetitive, sometimes eye-rolling, and sometimes just plain busted, Saints Row 2022 is far from perfect, but that doesn’t stop it from being a chaotic good time. Despite some tech issues and inconsistent mission design, this kinder, gentler incarnation of Saints Row is probably a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, the main campaign is a little less successful, often falling back on repetitive action, gunplay and set pieces that go on too long. The game rewards you for almost everything, so your time is never wasted. There is always something to keep you occupied, most of it served up in bite-sized missions that are fun to check off. Its open world is expansive and entertaining to explore.

As the future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli by your side, you’ll form The Saints and take on Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall as you build your empire across the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city. Saints Row will release on Tuesday, August 23rd 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.Gather the gang and take over the whole of Santo Ileso as the Saints. The file size for PC and Xbox consoles is currently unknown, but players can likely expect it to be around the same size, give or take a few GB. It's worth noting that this file size doesn't take into account any possible patches that are released between now and the launch, as this could increase the overall file size for the game.
Players will need to ensure they've cleared some space on their console storage though, as PlayStation Game Size also confirmed that Saints Row would be a little over 60GB on PlayStation 4 and 53GB on PlayStation 5. Once the official release date comes around on August 23rd, users who have pre-loaded the game will be able to jump right in and play.
This means anyone who has digitally purchased a copy of Saints Row will be able to pre-load the entire game two days before release. As confirmed by Twitter user, PlayStation Game Size, the pre-load date for Saints Row on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles will be Sunday, August 21st 2022.
